Through the last minute action and dedication of many Angus Steakholders, our favorite cow officialy passed the 50% threshold. Angus will live out the rest of his days in the fields and the meadows.
We will be sad to see him go.
At 32.5% saved, Angus is still on track for the slaughterhouse, and at this rate the handbags look like the only chance he’s got. The Remorse Portal closes at 11:59pm on March 13th.

We have watched Angus grow from an adorable calf to a stout, hefty adult cow. Over the past two years, people around the world have told us in messages and in person that they have had Our Friend Angus in their thoughts.

Summer is a time for vacations, for running in the field, for frolicing with nary a care. Cows feel this too, it seems. Here’s Angus playing peak-a-boo with the camera yesterday.

Angus is looking a little damp these days, even as the weather warms up. Pretty soon the farm will be green and flowering, but to get there we’ve got to get through the rain and the mud first.

1 year. 752 lbs. Halfway to Heaven.

Just this year, a cow in Austria, named Veronika, was documented using tools in order to scratch her back. Tool use, once thought to be unique to humans, has been documented in a variety of intelligent animals, from ravens to octopi. Cows too, it seems, have a tool-using intelligence.

He’s so cute. And he doesn’t want to die.
He has a real shot. But he needs your help.

We wish everyone a happy holiday! This is Angus’s first winter, and will be his first New Year! At the moment, it looks like he will only ever experience this twice.

How does Angus measure up to an adult cow so far?

Family that grazes together stays together!

We’ve gotten hay laid in for when the season changes!!

Angus shares a special moment with his best friend this morning. From this angle you can really see how thicc Angus is starting to get ;)

The weather has finally turned up at the farm, and Angus is enjoying beautiful days with the herd!

This is Angus’s farm! It’s a bit sleepy early in the morning.

Our boy himself is a little camera-shy, but looking cute as ever, even as he is growing up fast!

The hills at the back of the fields are all forested. Angus tends to spend time on the grass, but sometimes in the middle of the day trees provide pleasant shade!

A new calf was born today and I think he's gonna be special. He was on his feet in 15 minutes and you can't miss the white blaze on his face! We're gonna call him Angus.
